Conflicting information

-The California Energy Commission Commercial Kitchen design guide states that
VELOCITY minimization is the PRIMARY factor in hood performance.  GVAC says in
10/18/05 letter that it has no impact.

-CA Energy Commission design guides discuss widening outlet plenum to lower
discharge VELOCITY and reduce chance of supply air affecting capture & containment.
GVAC says VELOCITY is NOT important to balance and therefore containment and
capture of the hood. Who do you believe the California Energy Commission or GVAC?

-See 2nd page below that further discussess Velocity and Volume in hood balancing as
critical
GVAC 10/18/05 letter states Velocity
is irrelevant to balance. Not so says
the State Energy Commission.
